Lucid IT

PtMS Mobile by Automated Business Solutions® is projected to be a vehicle based hardware/software component that will run in conjunction with the PtMS for Windows software package. Lucid IT® has been actively involved in the design and development of this system, which will provide real time secure communication and data flow between drivers and management to facilitate proper trip routing and information management.

Among its many features, PTMS Mobile will allow drivers to update in real time their Odometer Readings, Arrival and Departure Times, Trip Status, obtain GPS Routing for trips and receive pertinent messages from dispatch over a secure channel. Dispatch or management will also be able to monitor in real time the GPS location of vehicles, the status of a vehicle’s trip, communicate with drivers and monitor the activities of drivers and riders via an on-board camera.

At the heart of this system is a mobile processing unit, a minicomputer which interfaces with a touch screen monitor for video output and data input, a GPS receiver and optional web camera. In addition to custom software created by Lucid IT, the mobile processing unit will ran the Microsoft Windows XP® Operating System and Klynas Streets® for GPS routing. The PtMS Mobile demo was recently completed on schedule and we at Lucid are excited about this project.

Kofi Anguah is the latest addition to our team of consultants at Lucid. He is a 2009 graduate of Swarthmore College with a double major: Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
